DAY 10 Anaheim, CA

Sorry, haven't been around a computer in a few days. lets get caught up.

Sacramento went really well, it was a pretty nice place. the drive from Sac to Anaheim was really long and hot. I had this preconceived (and false) notion that California was going to be some sort of amazing oasis full of beautiful people, landscapes and lush, green, palm trees and 75 degree temperatures. Not so. Or, not all of it. Or even very much of it. All I saw was tomato farms and heat shimmering above the desolate sands. the Chain Reaction show went well, tons of nice people. I didn't expect the venue to be what it was. After always hearing about all the videos shot there, and how so many bands play there. It was in a shopping center and used to be some sort of restaurant. We found a used syringe in the parking lot when we arrived. the whole city smelled like the conservatory bathroom. But i guess that's how it goes, CBGB's i've heard is one of the grossest venues in America. Anaheim as a city was a shit hole, dirty and hot. But then we stayed the night in Huntington beach, like 15 minutes away and that was amazing. Jude, Sammy and I walked to the beach early in the morning before we left for Phoenix, it was beautiful. I think i let myself down a little bit, giving myself grandious ideas about what southern California would be like. but, i was only there for todays, I really should give it a nother chance. Brandtson is now on the tour, they killed at chain reaction. they're nice dudes, i look forward to hanging hard with them for the next few weeks.
